The Whales  have been on the road for the past month showcasing their new material from "Tiny Whales II" E.P. to excited crowds all over the Eastern half of the U.S.

Without a previously confirmed SXSW date, Tiny Whales decided to try their luck, and went to Austin last week for the chance of getting the opportunity to perform. 6 shows  in Austin later, we can officially deem the  excursion a big success. Two more blistering sets in the state of Pennsylvania before the final show of the tour at The Middle East in Boston opening for Holy F*ck.

Calvin, of Akudama, tells me that their upcoming E.P., which is still yet to be titled, is almost ready to be mastered. This puts Akudama on pace to have their new music available just prior to the start of the three-month Summer tour.

Lots of shows in the NYC, and New England are  over the course of the next month. Stay tuned, and we hope to see you at a gig near you!

Over the weekend, Endless Recordings has officially SOLD OUT! Sold out of the debut Akudama  record that is.

ER001: "flying over morning" is officially now out of print.  You can still listen to the record at the Akudama section of this site, or on their Myspace page

Also in Endless Recordings news, "Tiny Whales II" (the second EP from the band to precede the anticipated full-length) is now in the world. It is a limited edition record with hand-screened artwork that is only available at their live shows. Try and get this soon to be collectors-only item while you still can. (Of course, if you would like to listen to it, all of the tracks are available at the Tiny Whales section of the site.)

Exciting times! Way more on the way.

Akudama recently performed at both the Knitting Factory, and at a "secret" free  shows this past weekend in Brooklyn. Many thanks to those of you who came out to support the band. The guys were very excited to see so many new faces in the audiences... word of mouth must be working.

Akudama's forthcoming E.P. is in the final stages of mixing, and is on target for a physical release in early May in anticipation of their summer tour schedule. Please help spread the word, and catch them while you still can in NYC!

Cheers.
