Endless Recordings is officially loving summer! While most of the artists here are currently only engaging in one-off dates, or writing new material, Akudama is taking the summer by storm.

Since the last news update, Akudama has been nominated as one of the best local artists (NYC) by The Deli Magazine, has played in venues all over the eastern half of the United States, "Out Again" and "Night Club" have been picked up by a number of radio stations including WFNX in Boston on their "Best New Music" segment, and the band members are in high spirits.

There are a number of private events, which we can not announce, but rest assured, the Akudama boys will be back playing your town live really soon. If you are interested in helping set up a show, please contact us here, and we'll try to work something out.

In other related news, Akudamamusic.com is almost ready for launch, and the band has a TON of exciting material for their fans including demo tracks, artwork from the band, behind the scenes photos and videos from tour, and even some games. Check back soon for the official announcement, and hopefully some activity from the other Endless Recordings related groups.

The big news over here at Endless Recordings is that Tiny Whales will be preforming their last show with the lineup that you have come to know and love on June 12th at Great Scott in Boston.

Ryan and Matty will take a short hiatus in order to recharge their creative juices, and we will see what becomes of the band in the fall of 2008. We have been assured that there is a lot of music left in these guys, but the future of "Tiny Whales" as an entity is still uncertain.

In other news, Akudama have successfully finished up the first leg of their US summer tour.  Some photos and stories from the road will be available soon on the "fan section" of the new website, appropriately titled The Appletree.

As the band takes a well deserved break at home around NYC, they have a few "secret" shows lined up (sorry, we are not at liberty to post them) and a special show at The Delancey, in celebration of our friends at Break Thru Radio's birthday.

Also, if you have not yet checked out the new video for "I Will Be Glad," or taken a look at the new shirts, please head over to the Akudama myspace page: here.

Tour dates for Leg II of the summer tour will be posted shortly.

This is a call to all of the people in front of the stage at the CD release party for "Johnny Appleseed" who had cameras and were taking photos. As the show was so crowded (thanks for coming out and packing the place), Endless Recordings was unable to capture any of the action on our cameras but would love to showcase your photos on this site!

Tour is officially underway. There have been some bumps in the road, namely a blown tire on the way to Syracuse. The band is currently somewhere West of Pittsburgh, and enjoying playing to new audiences along side their friends in Kentucky Nightmare.

You can order Akudama's new "Johnny Appleseed" E.P. or T-shirts from this site, or the Myspace page, and hopefully you have checked out and enjoyed the new tunes and will be able to make it out to a live show in the near future.

On Monday, 5/19, Akudama officially begin their Summer tour. Endless Recordings will be posting the dates in three legs. Currently, you can find out all of the information for Leg I both on this site and also on the band's Myspace page. The first segment of the three-month tour will be with good friends, Kentucky Nightmare, from Bloomington, IN.

You will be able to order the "Johnny Appleseed" E.P. online at all of the major retailers in a few weeks, but until then Endless Recordings will host the files, and a link for purchase, as soon as the band has played their CD release on 5/22.

Speaking of which:

Amazingly, Blake, the lead singer of Akudama, has been mugged yet again. This time for $200 and his ID (which was JUST replaced from his last mugging). I guess it really must be time for the band to get out of NYC and on the road!

Endless Recordings has received shipment of the "Johnny Appleseed" E.P. and will be getting it up, in its entirety, for streaming or purchase from this site very soon.

We can also finally announce the E.P. Release Party/National tour launch:
Thursday May 22nd @ Spike Hill (Williamsburg, Brooklyn)
Doors open at 8pm, Akudama performs at 9:30pm
Tour mates "Kentucky Nightmare", and friends  "Muy Cansado" will also perform.

Both Akudamamusic.com and Tinywhales.com are under serious development and will be launching shortly. Please check back for updates.

Tiny Whale's recent SOLD-OUT performance with Film School in Portsmouth, NH was one of the their better gigs in recent memory. We strongly recommend that you try and make it out to one of their select upcoming shows!
