It has been so long: I worked with CMJ 06 and now am back in the comfort of Boston. I've been keeping busy getting all of the submissions for a just confirmed February 2nd Boston Rock Compilation CD release at the Middle East Downstairs. The line up is shaping up as a dream come true, I could not ask for better local bands to contribute to this all star compilation.
It's also been fun to watch Tiny Whale's CD come together. We'll have a pre-release up in New Hampshire just before Thanksgiving, and then the official Boston release hopefully early next month. We've got to wait for a good bill. On a similar note, now that the Whales are practicing in a space down the street from me with my good friends the Nightlights, and Before Lazers, I am trying to create a game for this web site. The idea is called "Practice Space Invaders". Members of the band will try and save the practice space from greedy landlords, bums stealing equipment, lame bands, etc. If anyone knows how I could open-source edit an existing game or how to create something of this nature via flash, please drop me a line.
You may notice the new media player on the front page. Check it out, I will be posting new songs and remixes with this interface until I can develop a flash player and host the content on my own. (The bit rate is terrible for the time being... sorry)
This winter is shaping up quite nicely. Won't you come out to rock?
